Leadership

Mike Marsden – Owner & General Manager

Mike Marsden has been a respected figure in New Zealand’s corporate hospitality and events industry since the early 2000s.

He began his career with Corporate Host, the innovative company behind the iconic Boot Party events, and was involved in delivering hospitality programmes for the New Zealand Warriors, early Auckland America’s Cup campaigns, and the 2005 British & Irish Lions Tour.

Mike later led product development and sales teams at Premier Hospitality and Experience Group before focusing full-time on Capture Events in 2012.

Over his career, Mike has worked across five Rugby World Cups — including Rugby World Cup 2011 in New Zealand — two Lions Tours, hundreds of concerts, and major entertainment events throughout the country.

From 2015 to 2023, Mike also played a key role in the commercial growth of Hampton Downs Motorsport Park. Under the Capture Events umbrella, he is now the promoter of the New Zealand Superbike Championship.

Known for his experience, industry relationships and attention to detail, Mike is trusted by a loyal and long-standing client base.

Teina Marsden brings energy, personality and exceptional people skills to every event Capture Events delivers.

As Sales Support & Event Manager, Teina works closely with clients from initial enquiry through to event delivery, ensuring every experience runs seamlessly. Her vibrant approach, strong customer focus and natural hosting ability make her an invaluable part of the Capture Events team.
